About My Work
I have been taking and developing pictures since the early 1960's. In 1999 after a trip to Monet's gardens in Giverny I began to look for a way to print my photographs in an impressionistic style. My favorite artists are Monet, Tiffany, Ansel Adams, and Frank Lloyd Wright. I think you can see that reflected in my pictures.
After a search over 8 years I came up with a combination of papers, inks and printer that let me achieve the results I sought. I own a commercial Epson printer and use their latest achival Ultrachrome K3 inks. I print on Mulberry based archival papers as well as Epson Ultrasmooth and Red River Avalon papers. The entire process is done here - from scanning my own pictures to making the hardwood frames. This lets me achieve the overall result I want for each picture.
