All my frames are hand made by me starting with rough lumber. I like to select woods with "character" and combine woods that complement the image and each other. They are usually unstained, treated with a preserving oil and a wax finish. It is difficult to convey the true texture and luster of the frames in a photograph, but here are a few representative example of frames used for the current table top Ao Ki`i.
